Jo Whiley is one of Britain’s most iconic radio DJs, known for her warm presence and deep passion for music. Originally from Northampton, she began her broadcasting career in Brighton on BBC Radio Sussex before joining BBC Radio Four’s WPFM, a youth culture and music show. Her TV breakthrough came as band booker for Channel 4’s The Word, introducing UK audiences to acts like Nirvana and Rage Against The Machine. Jo joined BBC Radio One in 1993, later hosting her own daytime show, and now presents weekday evenings on BBC Radio Two. Beyond radio, she’s a regular Glastonbury presenter and a committed charity ambassador for Mencap, Tommy’s, and the Cri du Chat Syndrome Support Group.

Before the party starts, take the opportunity to see the famous gardens around the showground. Explore the incredible large and small show gardens along Main Avenue and Royal Hospital Way, take a tour of the Houseplant Studios, and enjoy the Balcony and Container designs nestled in Ranelagh Gardens.

The gardens close when the Chelsea Late starts at 8pm, so soak up the atmosphere before you head to the party.

Head to the leafy woodland of Ranelagh Gardens for an eclectic mix of delicious food and drink options from around the world. As well as tasty street food on offer, there are also plenty bars and coffee stalls to keep you refreshed as you dance into the evening.
